Established in 1984 by founder and president Wayne Ezekiel, A.N.T. Construction remained a part-time home builder and renovator while he researched and learned from the best. Wayne’s goal was to understand custom home construction from the ground up – literally. It would take him about 10 years of overseeing progressively more complicated projects before he was confident his preparation was sufficient to warrant expansion into a full-time custom shop.

He has since expanded from his home in Innisfil, throughout Barrie and Simcoe County and is also well established in Muskoka.

Whether it’s setting up his own company, or realizing a client’s custom dream home, Wayne wants it done right. With all necessary insurances, warranties and licences in place, he assembled a talented and experienced team of architects, engineers, site supervisors, project managers, building trades, soil analysts and other specialists to fully serve our clients. Developing a premier one-stop shop is another way we serve our clients well.

The Greater Barrie Home Builders Association
Our local trade association offers professional development opportunities and sets a standard for practice. Membership is not approved with the signing of a cheque. Applicants are researched and screened for quality service, ethics and compliance with government regulations.

Our owner, Wayne Ezekiel, currently sits on the GBHBA Board of Directors as the 2nd Vice President.

Tarion Warranty Corporation
New homeowners are legally entitled to a standard warranty as set out by the Ontario government. Tarion is the entity that licences all new home and condominium builders in the province to ensure homeowners are protected.

A.N.T. Construction, which is a licenced builder with the program, was honoured in 2003 to receive the Ernest Ainsley Award for service excellence from Tarion Home Warranty.

RenoMark
The RenoMark program recognizes a new standard in renovation contracting across the country. Whether it’s a kitchen make-over or a new addition, builders who carry the RenoMark seal have met a specific set of exacting criteria that tells homeowners they are dealing with true professionals.

Not only does A.N.T. Construction carry the RenoMark seal of approval for its own renovation work, our owner Wayne Ezekiel has worked with his GBHBA colleagues to successfully bring this nationally recognized program to the Barrie area for the benefit of the local community.

Energy Star for New Homes
Energy Star is an initiative of Natural Resources Canada to protect the environment and consumer pocketbooks. Registered Energy Star builders have committed to constructing homes that are 30% more energy efficient than those built to minimum provincial building codes.

In the best interests of our clients and our planet, A.N.T. Construction has taken this voluntary step to become a participating member of Energy Star. As a result, we are able to offer advice on, and expert installation of, state-of-the-art eco-friendly products and systems.
